A panel of veterans will
read excerpts from the book World War I and America and we'll discuss the topics
presented in the book: why fight, the experience of war, racism in the
military, American women in the military, America on the world stage, the home
front, and returning home.
If you are a veteran, or a family member of a veteran and would like to participate, please call 248-698-4942, ext. 2 for more information.
This program is part of World War I and America, a two-year national initiative of The Library of America presented in partnership with The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities.
